AWE serves asylum-seeking individuals and provides access to housing services, counseling and intensive case management services, legal services, and health literacy courses, among other services.

Welcome Our Newest Team Member!
We’ve recently completed the search process for our inaugural SOURCE Program Coordinator. Our new SOURCE Program Coordinator will support a number of efforts on our team – including the JH HEAT Corps, Baltimore Action Projects, the Community Outreach Program at the School of Nursing, as well as supporting service-based student groups and general service inquiries. We are thrilled to announce that Eean Logan has now joined SOURCE as our Program Coordinator!
A native of Baltimore, Eean comes to us with a rich history of both personal and professional community engagement. Eean has worked with the Choice Program at UMBC, No Boundaries Coalition, Reading Partners (a SOURCE community partner) with AmeriCorps, as well as Baltimore Votes Coalition. He has a strong commitment to Baltimore youth, and has served as a mentor and basketball coach – a way to continue his love of basketball after playing as a collegiate athlete.
Eean is no stranger to JHU either. He is close to finishing his coursework at the Bloomberg School to earn a Master in Public Health (MPH) degree as a Bloomberg Fellow with the Bloomberg American Health Initiative. Eean sees himself as a connector and community organizer, and he is excited to bring his passion and talents to our team.
Please join us in welcoming Eean to our SOURCE family!
Each year during our National Volunteer Week festivities, this year held between Mon, April 24 and Sat, April 29, SOURCE honors students, student organizations, faculty, staff, community-based organizations, and alumni for their outstanding service and exemplary community partnerships.
Let us know if you are currently or have been serving our community in 2022-23, or consider nominating someone for the Alumni Award. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominations are currently open and will close on March 21. SOURCE will announce the winners of our 2022-23 Community Service Awards during our Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
