A small group of students work with CBO to develop an evaluation tool along with an implementation and data analysis guide for future use.Parent/Teacher survey evaluating the social-emotional outcomes of an Elev8 after-school programCBO must identify a new or existing program or intervention that requires an evaluation tool to be developed. The CBO preceptor will periodically meet with students and review drafts of their work.

Course Overview

This service-learning course examines a participatory, online service-learning approach to enable students regardless of geographical location to engage in community-based educational projects, and prepares students to develop evaluation plans and materials for the organizations’ identified programs. Students will work in a small group to develop an evaluation tool along with an implementation and data analysis guide for future use.

 

The Partner CBO is expected to:

  • Identify a new or existing program or intervention that requires an evaluation tool to be developed
  • Periodically meet with students
  • Review drafts of students' work and share feedback on final deliverables
