Baltimore Action Projects Program
SOURCE partners with the Bloomberg American Health Initiative to coordinate Baltimore Action Projects. These projects focus on the five areas identified by the Initiative to reshape the national public health agenda: Addiction and Overdose, Adolescent Health, Environmental Challenges, Food Systems for Health, and Violence. The projects provide an opportunity to tackle these issues in Baltimore.
In partnership with the Initiative and SOURCE partnering community-based organizations (CBOs), Baltimore Action Projects are community-identified projects which directly connect to the Initiative's focus areas. Through the Initiative's funding, graduate students from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing are hired to work a minimum of 100 hours to complete Baltimore Action Projects in partnership with CBOs.
