Function of Organization/Site:
To build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke; focus on advocacy, fundraising for research, and raising awareness around cardiovascular events (heart disease remains the #1 cause of death in the U.S.)

Involvement Opportunities:
- Recess Baltimore
- Heart Walks and Heart Galas (one of each in Howard County and Baltimore City): students can serve as event volunteers
- Power Ambassadors: students are trained to speak in churches, represent AHA at health fairs, host some type of heart awareness event in the community
- Internship Possibilities: Power to End Stroke communications intern, fundraising intern, GO Red Campaign intern.
Volunteer Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Fluent in English
- Enjoy working with children
- Evening shifts available
