Fall Tri-School Day of Service
Join dozens of other volunteers from the JHU health professional schools and serve our community at SOURCE partner community-based organizations. One morning of volunteer service can truly make a world of difference!
Open to students, faculty, staff and alumni
Several projects are available to choose from (please pick one project) and registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Read more below and register today!
NOTE: Transportation will be provided to/from project sites. Please arrive at the Bloomberg School of Public Health inside the Monument St. entrance to check in at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure. SOURCE will provide snacks, but please bring a refillable water bottle and any other sustenance that you may need. Projects may require light lifting.
Civic Works | 7:50 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
Beautification, Gardening and Painting | Join Civic Works for their 23rd Annual Ricky Myers Day of Service. Activities include:
- Organizing donated building materials, cleaning and arranging product sections, and outdoor beautification
- Tree planting and gardening
- Prep and paint historic wooden firehouse doors
Blue Water Baltimore | 8:15 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
Planting Trees | Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Baltimore! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant trees in yards and along the streets of a few Baltimore county neighborhoods. Volunteers new to planting trees and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend.
Baltimore American Indian Museum | 8:50 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
Building Cleaning and Garden Beautification | In this group service project, volunteers will assist with the maintenance of the Baltimore American Indian Museum. Tasks include:
- Museum exhibit cleaning and upkeep
- Garden maintenance and campus beautification
- Power washing marble steps
