About the Organization
Recognized as a leader in the delivery of health care and social services for the medically underserved. Total Health Care (THC) is minority-run and one of Maryland’s nonprofits, in the State of Maryland. . THC has been caring for the health of the underserved in Greater Baltimore and its contiguous communities since 1968. The center was founded as Constant Care Community Health Center and merged with West Baltimore Community Health Center in 1989, forming what is now Total Health Care which coincides with the date the center received its designation as a Section-330Federally Qualified Health Center. THC’s mission is to improve health and quality of life in the communities it serves. THC has seven performance sites. The 27,500 individuals receiving within THC’s service areas, the population are overwhelmingly populations of color, of which a total of 47.03% of have incomes that are 100% and below Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPL). THC’s patients have been adversely impacted by social determinants of health, evidenced by high rates of chronic diseases, a range of psychosocial challenges including, substance use, and mental health disorders.

- Assistance with strategic planning,
- Various evaluation projects including patient/staff/constituent satisfaction surveys.
Training
There is an onboarding process for volunteers.
