SOURCE Tri-School Day of Service

Sign up for SOURCE’s Spring Tri-School Day of Service, on Saturday, October 6th and join dozens of other volunteers in the community at partnering SOURCE community-based organizations. Don’t miss out on your chance to give back to the Baltimore community! Projects will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. To sign up, send an email to SOURCE at with your name, email, school affiliation, cell phone number, and top 3 project choices.

All participants receive a free t-shirt! All projects begin and end at the School of Public Health’s Monument Street lobby. Times indicated below reflect the times that groups will be asked to meet and return to the School of Public Health.

Sites and project details are as follows:

Project PLASE 8:30 a.m.–12:20 p.m. Work on a beautification project at a housing site that provides a home for formerly homeless persons.

Amazing Grace 8:35 a.m.–12:10 p.m. Help this East Baltimore urban garden get ready for winter while beautifying the landscape! Volunteers will help weed, mulch, trim bushes and pick up trash.

Civic Works 9:05 a.m.–12:50 p.m. Work with other volunteers in a community lot, a vacant space that is becoming a community space. Volunteers will clean the space, pick up trash, and work on beautification projects. 

Milton Ave Improvement Association 9:10 a.m.–12:40 p.m. Join a team of volunteers and community members to clean-up a recently constructed peace park.

Living Classrooms Foundation 9:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m. Help out at this annual fundraiser and family friendly event by assisting vendors in serving drinks and food in the Inner Harbor. Note: must be 21 to sign up as serving beer and wine will be part of this project.

Men and Families Center 9:35 a.m.–1:10 p.m. Join the community in working with the center to plant flowers and complete beautification projects in the area. 

Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. 9:40 a.m.–1:35 p.m. Spend time in the community helping create a community garden. Volunteers will help clear bushes and plant new trees and flowers.

CARE Community 9:45 a.m.-1:10 p.m. Learn about the historical relationship between Hopkins and the community surrounding the East Baltimore campus while also working on beautification projects for shared community space.
