SOURCE Tri-School Day of Service

Schools of Public Health, Nursing and Medicine

tsdos-s18

Each year, SOURCE holds two Tri-School Days of Service: one in the fall to close out our Baltimore Week celebration, and one in the spring to during our annual National Volunteer Week celebration. Join dozens of other volunteers from the JHU health professional schools and serve our community with one of our SOURCE partner community-based organizations. One morning of volunteer service can truly make a world of difference!

Spring Tri-School Day of Service | Sat, April 20, 2024

Open to students, faculty, staff and alumni from BSPH, JHSON and JHSOM

Several projects are available to choose from and registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Read more below and register today!

NOTE: Transportation will be provided to/from project sites. Please arrive at the Bloomberg School of Public Health inside the Monument St. entrance to check in at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure. Commodore John Rodgers School | 8:50 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Help CJR School to build raised vegetable gardens, do some weeding, and spread mulch. The school is in a temporary location while renovations occur at their original site. They need assistance with beautifying the grounds and helping to grow vegetables for their school community. The van will leave from BSPH (Monument St. entrance) promptly at 9 am and will return to campus by 12:15 pm.

Gallagher Services | 9:30 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.

Gallagher Services supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the life of their choice. At this residential location, volunteers will help plant flowers to give the home some curb appeal. Volunteers and residents will have the opportunity to work together on this fun event. Gallagher Services will have music and snacks for everyone. The van will leave from BSPH (Monument St. entrance) promptly at 9:40 am am and will return to campus by 12:50 pm.

Amazing Grace Lutheran Church | 10:15 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.

Amazing Grace Church is expanding the food production capacity of their garden to serve more people in the community and improve accessibility for potential gardeners by adding in waist-high garden boxes. Help to assemble and fill the new garden beds! Other projects around the garden will all be geared towards prepping for spring planting. The van will leave from BSPH (Monument St. entrance) promptly at 10:25 am and will return to campus by 12:35 pm.
