School of Medicine (SOM) Student Groups: Medical Student Senate (MSS) Funding

Service-based SOM student groups can apply for recognition and funding through the Medical Student Senate (MSS). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For complete details, click here.

School of Nursing (SON) Student Groups: Student Government Association (SGA) Funding

Officially recognized student groups in SON can apply for funding so long as the event aligns with the goals of SGA. For details and application instructions, click here.

Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) Student Groups: Student Assembly Community Affairs Committee Grants

Registered student groups in JHSPH can apply for funding to perform community service events. Applications are due on the 1st of each month. For more information, including a link to the application go to http://www.jhsph.edu/assembly/community_affairs.html.

Johns Hopkins University Student Groups (Any School within JHU): JHU Alumni Association Funds Available Up to $1,500 (Deadline: During Fall Semester)

Looking for a way to fund your student groups' next project or event? Apply for a JHU Alumni Association Student Grant! With $75,000 to support student life and community volunteer experiences across all nine Hopkins divisions, the Student Grant Program can provide up to $1,500 to help your student group enhance student life and foster positive relationships between University and the local community. Visit http://alumni.jhu.edu/studentgrants for more detail and to complete the online application. Application deadline for the winter/spring is usually during October or November. For Applicants 25 and Under: Do Something Seed & Growth Grants (Deadline: Ongoing)

Are you working to start a community action project or program? Do you need money to put your ideas into action? If you answered, "YES!", you are eligible to apply for a Do Something Seed Grant. We give out a $500 Do Something Seed Grant every week to help young people just like YOU! Do Something Seed Grants are targeted towards project ideas and programs that are just getting started. These grants can be used to jump-start your program or to realize your ideas for the first time. These are grants for all types of community action projects around causes that you care about and are important in your community! For Grassroot Nonprofit Organizations: Ben & Jerry's Foundation National Grassroots Grant Program (Deadline: Ongoing)

Through the National Grassroots Grant Program, Ben & Jerry's Foundations supports nonprofit community organizations throughout the United States that bring about progressive social change by addressing the underlying conditions of societal and environmental problems. The broad goals of the program are to further social justice, protect the environment, and support sustainable food systems. Grants of up to $15,000 are provided to grassroots, constituent-led organizations that are using community organizing strategies to accomplish their goals as well as organizations that provide technical support and/or resources to such groups. The Foundation does not make grants to support social service programs. Letters of interest may be submitted at any time.
