Tenth Annual Baltimore Week

SOURCE Baltimore Week

For ten years, SOURCE’s annual Baltimore Week celebration has provided the JHU health professional schools  the opportunity to learn about their new hometown  or to re-engage and learn more about how they can contribute to the good work going on in Baltimore. Following the April 2015 uprisings, we had an even greater sense of urgency to educate our schools about Baltimore.

During the first week of October, we brought in speakers, spoken word artists, and held events that showed the amazing gifts that Baltimore has to offer. Events also helped participants better understand the history of our city.

Check out two of the videos from Baltimore Week. Several youth poets from Dew More Baltimore performed their spoken word poetry at the JHU School of Nursing and a friend, colleague and community historian, Steven Ragsdale, spoke about Baltimore history.
