A New Year Reflection from our Director
As we begin the New Year, I want to thank each of you for being a part of SOURCE as well as share some reflections on the year, and the challenges and opportunities ahead.
2016 marked another year of exciting growth for team SOURCE as we added a brand new position of Assistant Director of Academic Service-Learning, moved into a larger office space to accommodate our larger team, and began to deepen our commitment to social justice through intentional programming and educational opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members.
At the same time, recent events, both here in Baltimore and nationally, remind us of the great challenges that remain in our work around justice, public health, and strengthening our communities. These challenges are not new and they are not simple, but they further underscore the importance of our collective work, and of the actions each of us have with our communities each and every day.
Please stay in touch and keep us updated on your work in Baltimore, or wherever you call home. As alumni of our SOURCE programs, we invite you to stay connected through our events such as Baltimore Week and National Volunteer Week, and to support SOURCE through giving and advocacy. You can learn more about these opportunities by visiting SOURCE.jhu.edu/alumni/.
Yours In Service,
Founder and Director, SOURCE
